Observations on Obama's Early Marxism: Augustine 25 Interviewed by Ronald Kessler of Newsmax
I was deeply honored to get a call from Ronald Kessler of Newsmax this week regarding the publication of an interview he did with me regarding Barack Obama's early, strong commitment to radical ideology.
Personally, I thought it was telling that Obama never comes clean about the level of his intense commitment to Marxist philosophy during his years at Occidental College in his book Dreams of My Father.
To me this was a warning sign that there was something Obama was hiding from the American people. After all, I'd see his commitment to the idea of Marxist revolution face to face when I met him in the fall of 1980. At the very least, I thought candidate Obama owed the American people a description of how, if at all, he had outgrown his earlier faith in Marxism and socialism.
Nevertheless, it was quite interesting to see a national level journalist tear into my memories and check out my story. Kessler, as you may know, is the journalist who figured out that Mark Felt was the true identity of "Deep Throat." I think it helps explain what Obama is up to and helps draw a line in the sand between those of us who are terrified of socialized medicine and those who apparently like Obama's enduring socialist perspective.
